Mikayla Marie Wisher

Birth date:
May 20,1991

Hi Iam Sabrina Wisher the proud mom of Mikayla Marie Wisher, 18 years old, she is one of the most amazing people I know. I look at her each and every day and I want to be just like her. She is so strong willed and what she accomplishes in one day is out of this world. People ask me how do you know? Know what I ask. Know what Mikayla wants? Mikayla is now 18 which I was told would never happen. When I look into those big brown eyes I know exactly what she wants. Mikayla has never said one word to me, I can see and feel the love she has. Her big smile with that little sometimes loud squeal that she has says it all. I treat her as per se normal as I can. I tell people she knows way more than you think she does. Mikayla is trully my inspiration and hero in life. When I am having those days of “I Cant” I just look to my right and boom there she is. She looks at me like I have lost it and that is when I know “I Can” do it. Through out Mikayla’s life our motto has been “NO GIVIN UP” I have it on our vans license plate. If I was to ever give up on her she would not be here today. I know God has given Mikayla to me for a reason. I am so very blessed to have her. Yes, I have those tough days but they are so worth it. Mikayla has touched so many lives just for being who she is today. Her sparkling smile, addicting laugh and her warm loving eyes. God has a huge plan for this young lady.

My favorite things
Horse therapy, snow skiing, going running with mom in my stroller, going for drives and watching the trees, Love to eat!!!, watching bright lights. I love to go shopping with mom. Sometimes I like to help and I take things off the shelf, it makes me laugh but mom doesn’t laugh all the time. I like to watch football, GO COWBOYS!! Actually any sport on TV I like the action on the screen. I love to torment my sister Audrey and my two younger brothers Steel & Hunter! When they are watching TV I sometimes start screaming or laughing real loud. I just dont want them to forget about me. lol

My dislikes
I don’t like my face touched!, teeth brushed, getting up early to go to school. I wish school could come to me. Lol I despie having my hair cut and brushed. When I go out side and the wind and rain is in my face I could for sure do with out the wind in my face.

My normal day
Mom starts my tube feeding at 430am, she goes running and when she is done she gets ready for work and then I get to get dressed, and get my teeth brushed(ugh) my bus comes to our house at 715am and I am off to school. I go to Glacier High School, I have been told I am a junior this year. I go to different classes, I have physical therapy and Dawn puts me in a stander and then on certain days she stretches out my legs. That is not fun. On Tuesdays I get to go to horse
therapy. When mom gets off work at 430 we get to have dinner, during the school year I get to go watch my brothers Steel & Hunter play football or wrestle. Mom gets me bathed and then its to bed by 900pm that’s if I am being good and not screaming or laughing loudly. Mom is always telling to tell the angels to come back in the morning because they are keeping me awake! And when I am awake "Everyone" is awake!!

Seizure meds
Lamictal & Topomax. I am also getting Pamidronate treatments once a month. This is to help my bones grown stronger. I also have a VNS, mom says she doesn’t think it works to well I just know sometimes when it is out of wack it doesn’t make me to happy.

One more thing……
If I could say one more thing about being me, I believe God put me here for a reason. I have been told I was a gift to my family and friends. I just want to ad that Iam blessed to have such an amazing family and friends. If I wouldn’t of had all these people who believed in me and loved me I wouldn’t be where I am today. Mom is always telling me to "believe" and you will do it. Once in a while I have to say it back to her so she doesnt forget. I know if I could talk, my first word would be “BELIEVE”. Which stands for
“Because Emmanuelle Lives I Expect Victory Every time”
