The Aicardi Syndrome Foundation generously covers most conference costs for participating families, as outlined below.

CONFERENCE FEE - There is no fee to attend the conference. It is open to all families of children with Aicardi syndrome.

HOTEL ROOMS – The AS Foundation will pay for ONE room per AS child on Friday (7/9) and Saturday (7/10). Families will be responsible for the tax, which will be about $12 per night for a standard room. The cost for extra rooms and/or extra nights is to be paid by the families at their own expense.

UPGRADES: If you choose to upgrade your room from the standard room, you will be responsible for the difference in charge (this includes the 2 nights that the AS Foundation pays for).
Each room includes a mini-bar. There will be a minimal charge (paid by families) for cribs, rollaway beds, or refrigerators. You will need to contact the hotel directly to arrange for these.

MEALS – All meals are a buffet of predetermined menu items, and cover Friday dinner, Saturday breakfast, Saturday dinner, and Sunday breakfast (Saturday lunch is on your own).

  • The AS Foundation will pay for these conference meals for the Aicardi child.
  • The AS Foundation will pay for UP TO FOUR ADULTS’ conference meals. (Please note that the 4 adults allowed include parents, grandparents, and any other relatives and/or non-relatives.)
  • The AS Foundation will pay for conference meals for ALL AS siblings up to and including the age 22 years of age including full, half, and step siblings. Any siblings 23 years of age and older who are attending the conference will be counted as adults.
  • For any adults above and beyond the FOUR ADULTS allowed, there will be a meal surcharge of $27.95 for Friday dinner, $28.95 for Saturday dinner, and $23.95 for each of Saturday and Sunday breakfast ($104.80 for all four meals).
  • For any AS NON-SIBLINGS ages 7-17, there will be a meal surcharge of $13.98 for Friday dinner, $14.48 for Saturday dinner, and $11.98 for each of Saturday and Sunday breakfast ($52.40 for all four meals).
  • Children age 6 and under eat FREE!

PAYMENT OF MEAL SURCHARGES: Payment for the meal surcharge(s) will be made by mailing a check to Carrie Paup, payable to the Hilton Indian Lakes Resort, in advance of the conference. Specific instructions will be provided at the end of registration, should you elect additional meals.
