Constipation

Halyeigh-

Hayleigh has had some constipation issues. We have to give her a enema once a week. We put her on the toliet at first till she pushes all the liquid out. Then we lay her on the bathroom floor and sometimes have to help her pass the rest. Some are to large to get out on her own. She does take a stool softener daily, It helps but not perfect. We have tried other home remedeys but this works the best for us.

Maia

I have found this to be a rather healthy helper for constipation. My doctor suggested that Maia eat it every afternoon and to use a babybifidus supplement as well. Made a huge difference IMMEDIATELY. I usually make it up in batches to last for 3-4 days. It keeps very well.

1 Granny Smith apple (peeled)
1 pear (peeled)
2-3 prunes
1 tbsp olive oil

We've struggled with constipation for the last 3+ years, and finally have something that is working. I know this is different for each girl, but I'll go through the things we've been through in case any of this is useful to you.

Emily

We've found something that's been working for Em lately to avoid constipation. Thought I'd share it in case anyone else is looking for something new to try. It comes from a good friend of ours who is also our family doc.

Power Pudding!
Equal parts of: prune juice or baby food prunes
applesauce
wheat bran
Give 2-3 tablespoons 1-2 times a day.

Em gets 2-4 tablespoons a day and it's been working great.
